MESSAGE FROM OUR 1ST ANTI-BASILEUS

As the Centennial 1st Anti-Basileus of the Alpha Mu Sigma Chapter, I am responsible for leading our membership development strategy which is an honor I am proud to have. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc is an invaluable network of professional women with a proud, rich history.  We stand alone as the only sorority of the National Pan-Hellenic Council to be founded on a predominantly-white campus during an era when prejudice and racism were rampant.  Though our members come from a broad spectrum of professions, we share a common belief in the importance of education established by our seven founders, who were all school teachers.

 

Our community is at critical crossroads, and now more than ever, the collective effort of every Sigma Woman is needed to address the growing complexities of the world around us.  We must heed the call of being a beacon of light to all in need and increasing our reaching within our local community is one of the ways that we work to reach that goal.
